About me

I was born and raised in an old industrial city in northeast China, where life moves at a slower, more relaxed pace.

Fun

Outside of economics, I love to explore a variety of interests, such as sports and music:

  • I started playing table tennis casually at elementary school. After a hiatus, I’ve gotten back into it and now compete in USA Table Tennis (USATT) tournaments. I am currently ranked among the top 10 active male players in Indiana according to the USATT ratings. I had the chance to represent Purdue and Notre Dame in the National Collegiate Table Tennis Tournaments. Feel free to check out some pictures of me in action!
  • Hiking, playing soccer, and watching other sports are also some of my favorite activities. I am a big fan of the Memphis Grizzlies and Arsenal.
  • When it comes to music, I enjoy the energy of alternative and indie music. I try to attend live shows whenever I get the chance.

Service

At Purdue, I am fortunate to serve in the Krannert Doctoral Student Association, where I held roles as VP for Social and Well-being and later as president. I have organized monthly social events to bring Ph.D. students together and have initiated an event connecting current students with program alumni from both academia and industry.
